Dr. Alexandra Stein claims to be an academic expert on cultic groups. Yet in 2023 she appeared as a ‘cult expert’ for a BBC hit-piece programme (posing as a documentary) asserting multiple provable lies as fact, conducted no objective academic study before making any conclusions, proliferated destructive hearsay and ignored all calls to have an open public debate on the matter.

The programme itself falsely (and again provably so) alleged and asserted that a Life Coaching company, then Lighthouse International Group (Now Lighthouse Global), is a dangerous cult. The group was accused by fake whistleblowers of scamming people for large sums of money, manipulating vulnerable people while hiding behind false religion and perniciously dividing people from their families. All of these claims are categorically, provably and evidentially false which Ms Stein is fully aware of.

Ms Stein was personally invited by Lighthouse CEO Paul Waugh to meet with him and conduct direct research into Lighthouse, with all expenses paid if necessary. However she has repeatedly ignored this invitation outright, exposing her contempt for engaging in any genuinely objective, academic or scientific assessment. Her choosing instead to make highly destructive slanderous statements, based on malicious secondary hearsay and sources like the Daily Mail, absolutely proves her levels of conscious fraudulence.

This site is therefore designed to warn the public against this disgraceful charlatan and her outrageous abuse of pseudo academic expertise and credentials in order to destroy innocent people’s lives and livelihoods. Ms Stein’s actions, despite repeated attempts to reason with her, have caused immense damage to Lighthouse by adding false but perceived credence to a heinously false BBC hit-piece. We appeal to Ms Stein to take responsibility and publicly repent for her actions, praying she will humble herself to do so.
